If you are concerned about an elderly relative or neighbour, there are a few things that you can still do to help:
• Stay in touch over the phone, online or via post
• See if they need any shopping or help by running some errands such a posting mail or collecting prescriptions. The need for home delivery via supermarkets is very high at present. We are currently assisting our clients with their grocery and prescription needs on a case by case basis.
There are various options available to those who wish to order meals to their home. Epsom & Ewell Borough Council provide a Meals at Home service for residents who are unable to cater for themselves. Meals are delivered between 11am and 2pm Monday to Friday. Epsom & Ewell Council can also do emergency shopping for a delivery charge of £6.00. For this service please call the Council switchboard on 01372 732 000 and ask for Meals at Home.
Please be aware that there is currently a very high demand for these services
We also hold details for a variety of online shopping services, domestic agencies that will help with shopping and emergency shopping services.
